Early care:

• Provided as a service to parents with enrolled students who need to leave their children before 8:15 am.
  
  
• Early care begins as early as 7:30 am, for a minimum fee of $3.50. The cost will be added to the total after school care charges at the end of the month.
  
  
• Parents must sign up for this service.
  
  
• For an occasional early arrival, parents may simply request this service in advance.

After School Care:

• An extension of the school program including a regular routine of planned activities such as lunch time, small group activities, free-play or outdoor play, singing, games, videos, story time, rest time, and snack time.
  
  
• Provided each school day 11:30am– 6:00pm for preschoolers and 12:30pm-6:00pm for kindergartners. Children must be picked up by 6:00pm. After 6:00pm, a charge of $1.00 per minute will be added.
  
  
• The three-years-old classes will eat lunch in their classroom from 11:30am to 12:30pm, then go to aftercare in the four-year old classroom.
  
  
• The four-year-old classes will eat lunch in the lunchroom from 11:30am to 12:30pm, then go to aftercare.
  
  
• Kindergarten will go to aftercare in the four-year-old classroom at 12:30pm.
  
  
• Student may attend after school care on any day they attend school.
  
  
• After School Care must maintain a certain student/teacher ratio.
  
  
• Reservations for students attending on days other than his/her regular school day must be made in advance by 9:00am your child may not stay for lunch or nap.
  
  
• Kindergarten students must notify the teacher by note if staying for after school care.

Rest Time:

• Rest time is from 2:00-3:30pm.
  
  
• State law requires that preschool children have at least an hour rest period each day.
  
  
• West End Kindergarten provides regulation 2’’ mats.
  
  
• Parents will be required to purchase a $10.00 coverlet at the beginning of the school year unless they purchased one the previous year. You must provide a small light-weight blanket. It must fit into a 2-gallon bag.
  
• A coverlet and a blanket must be provided every day the child stays for daycare. If they are not sent, the parent will be charged $3.00 for each piece.
  
  
• Please LABEL all bedding. If the child stays on a regular basis, coverlets may be stored at school and sent home on Fridays for washing.
  
  
• Children are not required to sleep, but they must stay on the mat and rest quietly.
  
  
• Please DO NOT DISTURB rest time by coming to pick your child up between 2:00pm and 3:30pm the charge will be until 3:30pm regardless of the actual pick-up time. This fee is effective at 2:00pm.
  
  
• Special small soft sleep objects may be brought to after school care.
