“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

Kindergarten is a year of learning and growth.
Goal: To provide a God centered environment while obtaining the appropriate skills, Christian character, and social interaction to build the success of each child.

We are a TEAM…looking toward the same goal…your child’s success!

Our class is based on RESPECT, with that in place we focus on the following:

  • Solid foundation in phonics/phonemic awareness
  • Foundation for independent readers/reading fluency
  • Handwriting
  • Number Sense and Numeration
  • Whole Number Computation
  • Money
  • Measurement
  • Science through Units of Study
  • Social Studies through Units of Study
  • Building Christian Character

To ensure mastery of these skills, WEK uses the Saxon curriculum. This curriculum incorporates each new skill while building on others. Our days are packed with fun, educational learning.

Bible:
We begin with the Old Testament and work toward the New Testament. We integrate age appropriate songs, stories, and activities to reinforce the importance of the Lord in our daily lives.
